And after reading today's threads.... Let's get back to how to do things.
I had a whole grand idea for a beautiful stone throne in a wonderful scene.
below, you can see it before and after.
Before is on the left - after is on the right.

They look the same, don't they? Oh, ye of little faith. I started with the one on the left and built it up piece by piece. Point editing to make it all one grand object.

Then I looked and looked and said to myself "Myself.." (I always call me Myself)
"Myself," I said... "Objects in the real world do not contain knife edges. You need to add a couple of layers of Subdivision Surface to this thing."
And that is where the trouble started LAST Sunday. I have since put in about 26 hours of effort adding edges, refining planes and just plain hard work into it.
Same two Thrones with two SSd layers added to them.

My only dilemma now is that I have completely forgotten the elements of the scene I was going to put it into.

Moral of the story... It may help to actually sketch or write out what you plan on for your scene. It will most likely change as time goes on, but if you have a mind like a sieve, you will not have to worry about original concepts. :D

OK.. I didn't remember what I was going to do, so I decided to go with another Idea that I've been kicking around.

This is a Tru-Vue render.

I call it Forsaken Throne. A nice commentary on the value of taking care of the environment before the environment "takes care" of you.

I like this composition kena. Interesting theme. Very nice sense of falling on the tiles.

Thanks... It was harder than I thorught it would be to get the tiles to look like they were falling out from a mid-point. I wanted to show the contrast between the lush greenery and the stark view from the window ;)

Thanks Dragneye... I suspect that whatever my original concept was, this one is better. :D
