Woah!! The one bus in life that you hope will be late! Stunning composition and mood DD - mark me down as highly impressed.

When I see great art like this I often feel that my own work is too cartoony and lacking in depth - that certainly can't be said for this picture - a well wicked work!

Thank you all so much...that means a lot coming from you guys:) Actually, I still see a couple big mistakes in it that I need to fix (they're driving me crazy). I'll repost soon with the differences noted:)

I just noticed the face on the door has no motion blur like the rest of the chariot but maybe you search that.. the man is a bit down compared with the wheels..

I intentionally didn't blur the face on the door...wanted an eeri stillness to it...you might be right about the man in proportion...I just kind of eyeballed that:P

Here's the rest of my mistakes and a peek at how I fixed them:

It's mostly self-explanatory...as for the wheel not making contact with the ground, I put a bush under there to "raise" the illusion of the ground. Misdirection more than anything. Anyway, I'm happy enough with it now...ready to move on to my next project:)

I'm sure it's quite good, I just can't see anything you are pointing out. :)

Perhaps my monitor is old - I know you do 'star class' work, I just can't see anything.

First this is very nice work. However there is one spot that smacks me in the eye that should be fixed, one minute work tops....
Notice the line right above the handle? Wasn't there before. I darkened rendering to highlight problem. Would work if it was on the handle but this highlight is above the handle.
Is this rendering based on the Irish Legend? I have to go there is a knock on my door....

Sharp eye, very good;)I did that intentionally...a glare like that in the haze would offset from the object just a tad (almost like a glow). Maybe I did it too much, but that's what I was going for. If it smacks too much, you have my permission to correct it:P

Until recently, I had a similar problem, James.. older monitors are generally not as bright, and this is a rather dark image even with a bright monitor.

I wish for you a new monitor in near future, you will enjoy it so much!

digitaldali, this is wonderful work, thank you for sharing the process (at least some of it ^_^) ... although of course you have your own distinct style, it puts me in mind of the paintings of Zdzislaw Beksinski, which I also very much admire... (I hope you won't find that an unfavorable association) ^_^
