A Rendering I just completed with a theme of "Balance" also how texture and light reinforces that feeling.

I hope you like it.

Applications used: TS 7.51 and VRay 1.5

To maintain continuity only one texture was used but applied in various ways. Obviously my emphasis was not on modeling but placement.

I also wanted new trueSpace users to be aware that good modeling skills aren't alway necessary to achieve a nice render. By using just basic shapes and then

working with lighting, uv mapping and texturing a nice render can be achieved.

Thanks 3Dfrog sometimes a simple setup can give you nice results.

Thank you Dragneye, this was one of my experiments in layout. I think Spacekdet was referring to the puzzle ball? Round things are popular especially after the Holidays drinking eggnog!;)

Serious question:

As I mentioned before I used VRay to render. Does anyone know why those black things appeared on the bottom right of the sphere?

Not so serious comment:

Without the wood pillars this could have been a bathroom scene and maybe they are whiskers.:D

I would say that you might have forgotten to use the anti-aliasing... I do that sometime, and recognize the effect :D

Reflection of the sticks?

Same pattern on the middle left of the sphere, except it is white.

I suppose reflection picking up on the patterns?

I like the image very much - imaginative.

Does anyone know why those black things appeared on the bottom right of the sphere?Um, maybe some of your render setting are out of balance.......?

Cool pic though Bob - an interesting title too as the first impressions I got where vertiginous due to the angles in the background.
