Maybe you could do a quick tutorial, or share some of your render and light settings? I'm finding it difficult to get results like this with vray.

Like Parva, the one in the middle is my favorite. Very professional work! In the bottom image there does appear to be some spots on the walls. I'm really just nitpicking though. Aside from that these are very clean renders. They are far better results than I've ever gotten. Excellent work! :)

Thank you all for all your kind comments and they are most appreciated, as to a tutorial, I dont belive that I could do better than prodigy's excellent vray interior lighting tutorial of which these renders are based on.:D

I really like it. Reminds me of an 80's style airbrush rendering...has that nice retro feel. For composition I would lose some of the foreground i.e. drop the picture view down (move camera view up?) and zoom in a little. I am not sure that blurred pathway coming towards you does any favours at that closeup. Rest is excellent as always...:D

Thanks spyfrog and splinters,funnily enough I used to do architectural renders with an air brush and in the 1980's, although vanishing points, scaling and colour alterations were a lot harder then.:D

Like Splinters, I find the path a bit strange looking - it's almost like there's texture stretching close to the camer althoughthat may just be a side-effct of the lense settings?


The other thing that caught my eye was the tree to the left foreground which looks a bit 'super-imposed' - maybe just that the alpha doesn't quite cut it against a dark sky? (if it's a mapped plane or similar)


Overall, looks very nice though, as always...

Commenting on your first couple of pictures.


We all know this is super work so don't take my crit to serious ;)



First pic, the brick wall is to flat, need to be bumped a bit.



Second wall, same thing really, needs to bump a bit between.



Third pic, no crits at all ;)

Latest pic, strange to have the street looking like you're speeding with your car, unless you're off course ;)

Hey! That looks just like my bathroom!

-except I have this brown ring around the tub, there's a beer can where the coffee cup is and mine is located outside underneath the oak tree where I have easier access to the water hose.

I like them a lot, so that's why I'll critique them:

Very pretty renders, but (when talking bathrooms, there's always a but) man, that tub looks 'showroom new'. Maybe it's a little too shiny? Some variation in the specularity would go a long way in adding realism.
There's also something a little disconcerting about the multitude of tile styles and sizes all in one room. Large ones on the wall and small sized ones around the tub and then yet another size on the floor struck me as a little odd. I won't mention the accent strip of small glass ones because I know you paid a lot extra for those!

The three control handles on the side the tub appear timid and undersized. Maybe that's by design so you don't bump your head when coming up for air, perhaps something 'chunkier' and bolder to better match the spout/showerhead assembly? When showering, is there a shower curtain? Otherwise A) the neighbors get a free show or B) you spend a lot of time wiping off the horizontal blinds.

The towel on the floor is a nice touch, looks quite real. Better hang that up before the wife sees it!

The stairs render I have less to complain about. :^)
Nice and traditional, if I had stairs in my house I wouldn't mind if they looked like this. Here comes that 'but' again: the scale between the baluster posts and the newel is a little too large. What I mean is that the two posts on each step look just a little too thin and delicate in relation to the massive ones on the bottom. The one on the right also has a squashed ball on top but that all may just be due to camera distortion.

Lighting and modeling look great, no complaints there.

I must say that there's a lot of progress now among users on the forum and that's nice to see, alot is off course that the skill of 3D is getting transfered over to TS users and last the tools, but their getting their nice and now fast!

Ok, it looks shiny and new but I like it. I wish my bathroom looked shiny to, now it just looks like I haven't cleaned it in a while (which I haven't, so I guess it has a reason...). :D

This is great work again, Manxie!

I like the use of the different tile sizes in the bathroom one. In the U.S., it's more usual to see larger tiles on the floor lately but I like the contrast of using the larger tiles on the wall instead of the floor, particularly with the little shower floor tiles being used around the bath tub, and the use of the larger tiles on the wall helps keep the room from becoming too busy.

Beautiful staging on your stair render. The wood steps seem too shiny and too smooth though. It's almost like they are finished like a grand piano more than steps. A specular map and gentle noise bumpmap would likely solve the problem, but another idea would be to have the wood surface and finish surface be two separate objects then a bump map could be put on the wood to give it grain without affecting the smoothness of the varnish.

In anycase your renders are already far better than anything I've ever produced! :banana:
