Lightworks is really underrated, especially with the shader support it has in 6.6 and modeler.
Very nice amp finis, seems to have become a popular subject recently.:) |

Is that the right link? It says
"The winner is Mathias Allely who used NX5 to render his winning entry. Mathias receives an Apple iPod touch as his prize."
NX5 - I looked it up, seems to be some kind of CAD based render environment as far as I can tell. No mention of tS6.6
Further down there is an Honourable mention showing a render of a valve amplifier. Not sure who its by but the info says it was created using tS 7 |

I still don't see the tS image - the Q2 competition has the winning image by Matthias and it's some PC component called STice, created in NX5. No sign of a car or amplifier there, or in any of the galleries I looked in. Could you give more info on where to find the tS6.6 image?
Thanks!

This is bizarre, but the link is below
Its the Q3 competition not Q2 and when you follow adraini's link now you don't get the link. I did earlier today though ???!!!

So what I did was go to Q2 and then in the url line change /2 to /3 and low and behold up comes the relevant page!
Go figure... but hopefully everybody can look at one of Kheang Chrun's cars done in tS 6.6 which was the winner in the Q3 competition.

Yes, I don't see the Q3 either, hence my puzzlement :) Will try what you suggest - though its disappearance from the site might suggest it is undergoing some edits and is not final?
Aha and the car, the winning image, is by Kheang Chrun, not Matthias!
Thanks!

Thanks, guys.
Thank you, Tom, for bringing the competition to our attention. In view of the professional grade software packages used in the competition in previous quarters, I held little hope of even making the "honorable mentions".
It's good to see trueSpace making it up there with the "big boys" for a change!
Long live trueSpace!!!!! |
