Hey! Its been a while since I have posted here, but I thought I would show you my Robot, It is designed based on the Robots in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. They are to be composited into some live action footage for my Final year project at university. These renders are beauty shots and are for use on the DVD and Posters for the fictitious movie.

Let me know what you think

Looking good. Kind of hard to see some of the details in the darkness, but it looks quite accurate. :)

Hi Matski, nice to see your work on the forums again. Love the pics, very moody and menacing and far better than the film which was a bit dire; although all the robot scenes were very cool.

Nice Matski! I like the mysterious lighting.

I agree, especially the first picture. I know it's not human but it does loads to de-humanize the robot and make it less of a robot and gives it more of a "you're about to die" mystique.

Thanks guys. Im hoping to be compositing these in live action footage.

Unfortunatly because of the fact that I can only import Boujou camera data into maya and max, I am unable to animated the robot and composit it into some live action footage using TS7, which is a shame because I cannot get the same quality render from Maya. Unless there is some way of importing maya camera movement.

I will be posting screenshots and such, and do you think its worth uploading these images to the monthly competition?
