Well, it's very you! :D
Are you addicted to changing your avatar?! Quite a cute little character anyway - are you going to do anything more with him/her/it? |

Thanks Nez.
I answered the question about my frequent Avatar changes back on 8/18/2006...:D
(evidently I have a thing for bugs)
MadMouse,
"BTW Steinie... Whats with the ever changing avatar??? just recently you've changed your image more times than I've changed my underpants"
Steinie,
"Since I'm not in the big league like you guys, I use my little minuscule Avatar space to show my work. So far my audience is crickets and snails but I'm working my way up! Sorry to hear about your shortage of underpants.....
When I grow up I want to be small and infamous." |

Thanks Steinie - you'll be able to see that I only joined the forum in September 06, so I missed your handy message at the time by around a month, hence my apparent (or actual?) stupidity... |

And just for the record I have in fact changed my underpants since then:D
Have you ever given 3D-coat (http://www.3d-coat.com/) a look Bob?
I've got a feeling that it might appeal to you? and suit your style. |

I'm pretty sure I had VW bugs when I owned a 57 beetle. Darn things kept tripping the gas lever (for the one gallon reserve tank) over on the floor (no gas gauge) and I would run out of gas - usually at the bottom of a hill, when it was raining, miles from town. :)
Looks good to me, would make a good dangle ornament to hang in the car. Perhaps some fuzz or scales on it, maybe a tail to play with - er never mind about the tail... |

Thanks guys.
3DCoat looks interesting. Will the new voxels V3 work with an ATI card? Seems like you will need some horsepower. |

Cant say about the ATI but I've been using the beta with my tired old Nvidia GeForce 6600gt and it runs OK. Obviously the more horsepower the better though. |

Yeah it's fine, I got an ATI 3850 and it just uses the CPU instead. Careful when voxeling (what would you call that? :p) high res meshes, I almost crashed my computer. :o
edit: Actually it might not use the CPU, it may still use the graphics card. Either way it still works. |

Thanks Transient.
The colors reminded me of the VW Bus so this piece has lots of symbolism.
I did do some photoshop work and updated the original post. Nothing major but it does present the object model better.
Hey maybe I'm on to something here, a new line of Steinie Keychains!!!:D |
