Hi all,
There will be a TNL! this Thursday, Jan 31st! There are no scheduled events this time around, so it will be an informal one (though the door is always open for anyone who is interested in giving a presentation - just drop me a line at thomas@caligari.com).
I'd like to do a speed modeling challenge this week since we didn't do one last week - I'd like to open the floor to proposed objects that can be modeled in the 15 minute race, leave your suggestions here and we can vote to see which is the most popular!
Also feel free to step forward early if you feel like taking part in the speed modeling challenge! Again just mail me at thomas@caligari.com and let me know, or just post here and throw down the gauntlet to the other users :)

Thanks!

I would like to see a window modeled - would even participate.
It would be great to see if everyone makes a standard square one, or something more ornate. |

A window is our only suggestion so far, and you've volunteered to take part, so that's our topic for tomorrow's Speed Model Challenge!
A simple window would be easily done in 15 minutes, so I figure those taking part will go for something a little more advanced in order to add a bit of spice to the contest :)
So now we have subject, and our first contender, Kena - now all we need is a challenger! Since the subject is chosen it gives you a little over 24 hour t to practice too (practicing in advance is allowed, you just have to build the model live from scratch on the night though).
Who is going to step up?
Thanks!

I will even try to get off work a few min early in order to be there on time.
I checked out the meeting space, and the entry point was a bit bright! Hard to read the instructions or links. The meeting place was a bit bright also, but not as bad.
I hope my participating does not stop anyone from joining... I promise that I don't get mad when I loose, and I try not to brag when I win. I just get happy for you or happy for me...
Any takers? |

Hi kena.
Check your server; it should be set to tpportal.caligari.com.
I noticed that the tsportal.caligari.com, portal 1111, was quite bright also. Last time I was there there was a big pink thing in there. If you saw that, that was the tsportal. The tpportal.caligari.com, portal 1111 is where the TNL is being held. Just a headsup!

oops. I hope it's one I can get to.. One of them doesn't let me in most of the time. Now I'm worried. |

OK.. not sure what it was, since it converted to an ip address. I change it to tpportal.caligari.com, and am now in a blank-slate space. I hope I'm at the right place... |

Without having trueSpace7 or truePlay open can you select the link provided here:

Does that work for you? |

I got in and was able to compete, but I had problems with the navigation.
Once again I'm sorry and if you go to the Garage for free objects, my window is now uploaded. |
