I went to truePlay on Thursday night and entered the meeting area. A control window opened to manipulate the display there but when I tried to adjust the sliders they returned to their original settings. At the time Spacekdet was also in the room and he was able to make permanent changes with his sliders.

Then we went to the lake house and Spacekdet was able to enter text to the white board. When I tried, the text I typed and "entered" would flash on the line for about 1/2 sec and return to the previous text. I was able however to play the games on the table.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm on a wireless DSL and running Windows XP Pro with very few (if any) fire walls or virus protection. (I know, we can discuss that later!)

Which version of truePlay are you running? Should be 1.21 I believe.

Hay Norm!

Yep! I just downloaded the latest version last week so it must be 1.21, but I figured out the problem!

It pays to open one's e-mail once in a while. I just opened the account activation e-mail that was sent shortly after I re-registered last week and noticed the link that activates the account.

The message CLEARLY states that not all of the on line features will be available unless you activate the account.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuh! Sometimes my intelligence escapes me  ... literally ... like it goes out the door for a little stole and I have to go chase it down!!!

I just tried it and was able to leave a message on the whight board. I didn't get into the meeting area because my server kicked me off in mid down load, but I assume the display will work for me now, too.

I think I figured out the problem with starting outside the space, too. If you activate your first person view before the download finishes it starts you outside the box (so-to-speak)!

I think that irons out all my problems. Now I just need a better graphics card so I can see through the windows!

Thanks

Paul
