Okay, I need some opinions here... I put the furniture in the living room, but idk if the scale is right... What do you guys think?

(I'll texture the room later)

Truespaced your such a talented person I like your furniture style !

Dont overload the room with too much texturing

What I dont like is that there is no outside in that render (no landscape..)

Plus i definitly dont like the render !

I dont understand your parents about no more free software....;)

That typ of scene stands and falls with a good GI solution...

Tell them that its part of Truespace and that you need it !

Any Gi solution would do it better then none so i´m not talking you

into any specific one ....:)

Truespaced !

Show them this link and picture !

Its not mine but one can see what a GI solution can render !

Its 2 worlds...

Toon is nice where it fits in .... but not when it stands against the concept .. !

Heres the link !

I will post a short video sequence on the Kerkythea thread that

I opened a while ago for all those new to Truespace !

I will do that step by step ! I will also help you master this until you have

some nice results maybe some other people can learn from this thread

how to use it !

Glad you were able to convince them !

Thanks a bunch RAYMAN! I went through the entire thread you had on Kerkythea, and that alone has helped me a little :) I'm still having some problems...

I've been able to export my chair over there, but I tried the mountain, and I got a pop-up saying out of memory... And the computer has about 400 GB left on the hard drive, so I don't think the mountain is that big lol :p

I've only tried to render something once, and I didn't get a good result, so I'll keep playing around with it..

Thanks so much again! :D

Okay, so I used the Luuv exporter to export most of my scene over... The entryway won't export though... Every time I try to export it, TrueSpace crashes :(/:confused: And also, when I opened the other objects in Kerkythea, my entire scene imported sideways :confused::confused:

Help?

Objects with holes can cause LUUV to crash - the aforementioned evil booleans when it comes time to export, for example, can cause this.

Try triangulating the objects in workspace before exporting through LUUV.

HTH!

K, thanks Tom I'll try that later.:D

I'm having a couple of other problems also in Kerkythea where the scene imports sideways:confused:, and the render time is 58 days:rolleyes:; is there something I can do to fix that? Some of my objects' geometry has also been altered.

Truespaced ! Thats normal ......

http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showpost.php?p=75384&postcount=69

You rightclick on the top item in the stack and it says revert y-z !

thats what you press and then move to origin to center it in the middle !

But it cantake some time to calculate so wait for a few seconds !

You coud also select ALL items in the stack (so that a star is in front of EVERY item and use the widget to rotate and move the whole scene !

58 DAYS WHAT ?????? No way !

With photon mapping the whole scene should be finished in about 10-15 minutes at arond 2000 px wide.

If you use preset 20 and MLT bpt you turn it off when you like the results mostly it will clear up at around 30 - 40 cycles but mlt takes longer then any other render method but i will cover that tonight with my 2nd part iof the tutorial .

I was NOT finished yesterday ... just tired had to go to sleep !

Stay tuned !

Thanks RAYMAN, I'll check out the rest of the tutorial later. I think I had it on the wrong setting when I was rendering it; i'll mess around with it later.

Very nice work!

Windows in the same style as your Door frame? Echo Valley. Echo do you see what I did there :)

Or windows underground like Bob Shaw's 'Slow Glass'?

Thanks weaveribm! That's a good idea.. I might try that out, but not now...

I think I'm officially taking this out of the Castle MMC because I won't complete it in time. I'm busy this week and school starts next week so I don't think I'll have much time to do this at all :(

It may be a while before I come back to this thread...

Thank you everyone for your support and I can almost promise that this will be completed at some point! :p
