August 2008 MMC Challenge (http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=6059&page=2) Thread?
Thanks! I want you to get a chance to get voted on!! |

Congrats on the new addition rjeff! :)
Just got to say I really like your style on this, although it seems to be getting less hard-lined since your newborn ;) I think I preferred the angled roof as opposed to the dome - but that's just me.

personally, I prefer the light to come from somewhere behind the "camera". But it depends on what you want for the final render. |

Ok here is a bigger update than recently. I had to redo the spires and added the parts for the "weapon" which will be perched on top. |

As I watch your castle progress with each update it seems to be shifting in time. The beginning was a quaint Hobbit type castle, then a taller farming silo type, which then became a "Wonder", continuing into the "Age of Plumbing", and finally the "Age of Stainless".
I happen to like them all!:) |

Ok here is the weapon added. It is called the Hand of God. The tower that is sits on in located in the Northern part of the kingdom known as the Lonley Desolation. This and the other towers that were built, were built the kingdom from attacks from that direction. The weapon is powered by nature itself in the form of lighting. This tower has the ability to capture and store the raw power of nature to power the tower and also to defend. Just a bit of a back story. |

I LIKE it - (Wizards have a thing about towers and such-like!).
I'd love to see this set in a scene and have an animated flyby to really show off the cool modeling. I hope you are going to keep developing this after the MMC because it's a great piece of work. |

Looks great rjeff. Excellent detailing and a good back story too :) I, too, would like to see this in it's environment...

Holy #%$#! I'm loving the detail work on this rjeff! And it's got style too.
I like the yellow lighting better than the white lighting, btw. |

well... you still have 5 days to go... I would really like to keep this one at a month so the winner can get next month going.... But I guess if lots of people post in the comments thread asking for an extension, we could do it. |

well... I don't get off of work until 8pm Eastern time, so I won't be able to get the poll set up until about 9 or 9:30 pm. So, get as much as you can done... we vote on more than a completed project for the MMC... It's the whole process. |

Well under the circumstances of having a new baby and work being busy..I was not able to fully complete the image how I planed to. So here is the "castle" tower and bridge with a nice sky. So maybe I can get a vote or two based on the modeling itself!! |
