It would be easier to identify the current object in the views if

there could be the name of the object near its widget.

Maybe someone could script it in the LE?

A temp solution till someone does what you want, or till Caligari comes up with a real scene editor for us.

I use the Link Editor window to act as a scene editor. I can load my working elements into view and than I can visually see what object is active.

Yes, I thought someone would say this.

But:

*The font of Info Panel is small

*It is in the down right corner

*My focus is on the models not always on the panels

I actually like this idea...would be like the way players have their name and simple stats next to them in online games. Would be very useful indeed for those..erm..very busy scenes...:)

Gets my thumbs up, now let's see how long before someone writes a script for it.

Right click the Object Arrow to bring up a floater. It won't help with the font
size but its moveable.

until they make a better way to handle group objects in a widget it won't be possible..I tried making a digital readout for location, rotation and scale but ts7 or 75 can't handle it as a widget...you can make a pseudo widget that turns with the scene which is not too useful..:(

I'm really missing the dropdown list of all the objects in the scene in this new and improved Object Info panel.

The LE(and anim tabs) IS the scene editor. I would just like a filtering system(a better one) in there and layers in LE(need to put that on another thread I guess)
