There's very few plugins that I can say I absolutely need but the Find Camera plugin that creates a camera from your current view is, for me at least, absolutely essential. I hope that a Create Camera From Current View button is destined for the WorkSpace side of things.
Once that and edge extrude hit (plus Primitve Itch's awesome PiAxisTool if you're feeling generous) I don't think I'll ever need to visit the Model side again. :-) |

Yeah we definitely need edge extrude! Can't do edge modeling without it... :(
And there were a few times today that I could've used view to camera also...

View to Camera, and the later Find Camera plugins by CK Game Factory are my most heavily used and desperately missed plugins in 7.5. Maybe someone can contact CK to see if he can re-write them for the TS 7.5 architecture?
I would love edge extrude. I've been working on and off on a head tutorial that uses edge extrusion and used CK's Edge extrusion plugin for that. Another great plugin!

yes ..in another festure suggestions thread I asked about axis to boundingbox to be implemented in workspace so tools like PIaxis tool or my objectpanel pugin can be made..:D |

I think I have been using a type of 'create camera from view' but in a different way - I set a new camera in my scene (in Model) select it, and use 'view from object' from the very beginning - so I'm already viewing from a camera.

Work arounds do help, but they are not features. Another workaround is to create a camera and place it, but that's the whole point now isn't it(sarcasm).(wow I am cranky...sorry for that) |

there is now a solution for worKspace I hope you like WWW, its called CameraFinder..complete with 'view to cam' .. its posted in the garage ;)
