loading images should be the same everywhere in workspace , but its not..
for vray background first you must find the button, it could at least have a name on it like 'load image' or make it a colour you can see better . then you get an explorer window, where you must select thumbnails or do it the old
fashioned way.text.;) where is the image browser in ts 7.5?

for hdri maps you must either load from the bitmap library which is hidden on another tab or drag the bitmap library out of the library stack to use it or go to explorer and drag and drop it in.. using explorer thumbnails don't work, so text it is....they work in the model image browser but now we can't use it ;)

this is not intuitive :(

I've been wondering how to do that [load a VRay background] for so long! I just thought it hadn't been implemented yet. :o

You can view thumbnails in explorer. Just change the view to thumbnails ;)


For TGA file thumbnails install this:

Works on Vista also.

And what about drag-and-drop an image from Library tab to Panels tab, it's tricky!


And I agree, interface needs the streamlined consistency in every aspect.
