I hope this hasn't already been covered...too many posts in here to read them all while this is still fresh on my mind.
1st, I do not have tS7.X yet so if this has already been addressed, thank you.
Would it be possible to allow the KFE frame rate to be adjusted to a user input value? For instance. Here in the USA our animations render to 30fps...in the UK and other places it's 25fps. The KFE seems to be based on a 30fps value so that if I animate 30 frames I know I have completed 1 second of final render. Can this base value be changed by the user so that if it is set to 25fps the animator could know that if he has set up 25 frames of animation in the KFE that he also has completed 1 second of animation? Also can this frame rate value then be inserted into the AVI header so the animation plays back at this same frame rate?
Again, I hope I make sense. It makes perfect sense to me :)
thank you

Right click the Scene Editor to open the Scene Editor Properties panel, you can change the timings, etc, in there. Is that what you're looking for? |

Kate,
I'm not sure. Is that in tS7.x? I don't recall that option in tS6.x, but I'm at work and don't have tS here where I can look. I'll check tonight when I get home though.

Yes and no.
Long story...but the short version is PC problems have kept me from being able to run tS7.5 trial as of yet. Hopefully by weeks end I will have all the problems solved and can get a chance to give it a good workout.
Thanks all
And you too norm :)

No assumption of 7.5 demo, that should work for 6.6 too. FrankLad introduced me to it when I was using 6.6 so I know it's there somewhere! |

Kate,
you are , of course, quite correct. Right clicking on the animation play button does bring up a box where you can set between NTSC, PAL and Film. I had forgotten about that. Thanks for kicking an old man's memory back in gear :)

There are setting in tS7.x for changing the frame rate too - they work better than in <=6.x
The tS6.x SE is supposed to have the ability to convert frame rates too, but it doesn't work and never has. Set the frame rate in the animation preferences and keep the SE set to 30fps. |

Bobbins! Good to hear from you sir!
Thanks for the info. Looks more and more like I'll have to step up and upgrade to 7.5, huh
