I've been doing lots of rendering in my days, but I lack the abilitiy to see what's rendering and how it's going. TSnet offers mail/SMS notification - and it seems good.

But...

I was thinking of a single plug-in, that is always active, and can send information along the same channel that iTunes/Mediaplayer/any musicprogram - the same way showing what song I play in iTunes to the right of my name on other people's MSN lists.

It'd be nice if I could set my computer to render at home, and then leave home for some time - and log into my MSN account anywhere in the world, really, and just read on the screen what progress is made for the renders.

I've searched, to see if anyone have come up with this idea before and attempted it - but none. I'm not much of a programmer myself , but I was hoping that someone knew a little bit of how it could be done.

If tsnet creates a proper logfile that states its progress then I would have thought it would be quite simple to set up a script that you could run on a local webserver that would parse the logfile and then display the contents in a webpage (which you would be able to access online from anywhere).
