Well, my turn. You didn't think I would actually go ahead with what I said huh? My thread's sinking, so if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
I started this what. 11:00,and got it to the stage it is at...2:00. (luch break included). I'm bending the rules of gravity and probably this contest not liike all you old castle maker, I've gone for a different take.
I got halfway through it and said. 'Oh yeah, that's right. Sceenshots.'
So. I made some about faces in some of these screenshots so they don't quite match up and it would probably be more fitting as a temple but I think. Mark that hope it's passable. (fantasy palace rule)

Right then. More pics below (image limit *shakes fist*)
Explanations. It's a futuristic floating (duuh) castle. Yes, it originally started out as a space station, but I've cannibalised it. Second off. You see those funny little floating thingies around the edge of it? They're M.O.A.Ts Mobile operational automatic turret (systems)
If you've read through all of this and I'm NOT disqualified by now. I'll texture it tommorow. |

quick work!!! You will only be disqualified if you are not doing some sort of castle, or forget to post a link to your W.I.P in the proper thread!!!
hehehe.
really, post a link to the thread in the MMC thread so when the day comes, I can gather all the entries together with links back to the W.I.P. for voting.
I like the idea of a futuristic castle... your's is the, um... second(?) in the challenge.
Keep up the good work - can't wait to see it textured and placed in a scene. |

Well. Update. I've got the shot I want. Now for the turrests and niggly things.

Well, by god I lose. But what the hell
I came up with this after seeing the shape of Mikejoel's castle

That sphere with the cutouts? I'm guessing the centre one...
Select the sphere you want
Select all the faces
Prress the shell tool and it should do all the work for you and create two objects, one as the wire outline and one as the centre |
