Hello Prodigy,

Remember that you need to change the shader to an appropriate type. Metal-type shaders still display this behavior, since the reflection is filtered through the color, and if the color is black, then it removes reflection, and if dark grey, it makes the reflection weaker than if white.

Non metal shaders like Phong and others display different behavior and do not filter the reflection through the color.

Let us know what shaders and colors you are using, and we can say whether it is expected behavior - also, do try a non-metallic type shader where you are seeing the bug and see if that clears it up.

HTH!

Tom

Tom you are Right... Sorry, i just test with the first shaders..:D

Conductor ~ expected behaviour for metals
Dielectric ~ expected behaviour for metals
Mirror ~ expected behaviour for metals
Caligari Metal ~ expected behaviour for metals
Caligari Phong ~ Works
Mapped Phong ~ Works
Mapped Metal ~ Works
Mapped Mirror Map ~ Works
Glossy ~ Works
Fresnel ~ Works

This Bug is Fixed in Vray 1.5

Thanks you very much..

Yes, Tom's right. Your "doesn't work" should really say "expected behaviour for metals" ;)

Incidentally, "mirror" is the one I thought long and hard about, because a lot of people use it as a general purpose reflection shader, when it really should be just used for metals. The decision was made to treat it like a metal, so if you're trying to go for a non-metal reflective surface, use something else (like Caligari Phong) instead.
