Hi Tomas thanks for the heads-up on how to report 7.5 crashes

Please see attached a report which I hope is complete

I am moving a 7.11 Model scene into 7.5 Workspace

I am fixing the lighting and in a Model window from the Perspective viewport I am selecting an area light and an InfLight and making them Not Show Shadows and Not Cast Shadows and a crash

When I 'Create LE Window' btw the new window is corrupted but I can close it and nothing bad happens

DirectX version: 9.0C (4.09.0000.0904)
Nvidia drivers version: 94.24

Thanks for your help Tomas I will continue to move into 7.5 and Workspace it is very nice :)

Try flipping the window to 2d then back to 3d. This resolves that problem here on my ATI x800 card.

Thanks Norm. The object hierarchy works ok (orange triangle) back and forth in levels above the scene object. But then opening the scene object the window is corrupted. And and so is a New LE Window, sounds like a similar problem- Tomas is kindly finding out what the problem is

Please Norm if you can help for now so I can get on, this is no hassle I fall back to 7.11 when I'm stuck- I want to change the properties of the glass pane (window) object in the Workspace which I suspect is casting shadows, and the lights' objects (all this in 7.5) may also be casting shadows. Without the LE I can't get at those objects' properties - but please is there another way outside of the LE to change the properties of a glass material (pane) object and area and InFlights? TIA

Peter
