I want to create a plane with Size 2x2. So i type in 2 in width and height in the primitives panel.

Then i create my plane. And it creates with 1x1.Not with 2x2 as i have typed in:

Do you mean measuring 2x2 units in size, or 2x2 polys in terms of number of faces?

From your image, it looks like it's created a plane of resolution 20x20polys (as per the 20 'segments' at the bottom of the panel), and the size (assuming the blue lines are gridlines?) looks to be more than 1x1 dimensional units...

But if I'm completely wrong on either point, or minsunderstanding, please ignore me - I don't even have TS7.x

As you know, in 6.6 you can have primitives creation 'automatic' or 'scalable'.
If it's 'automatic', it should be creating a 2X2 prim with a single click at 0,0,0.
'Scalable' creates a 2X2 prim wherever you click, or click/drag to draw one an arbitrary size, regardless of the pre-set size.
Look for this equivalent setting in 7. (in 6 it's in File/Preferences...)
BTW, what is 'diagonal mode'?
Also, are your 'Scene Units' and 'Object Convert' units the same? (Object Info panel- 6.6). If one is set to meters and the other to feet it might be causing unpredictable results. I agree the Object panel is better in 6.6.
No idea where these settings are in 7.

on primitives panel choose default tab, then uncheck 'keep size'. then it will work if you just click on workspace to add plane. if you click & drag in either mode it will create it as shaped by the completed drag when released.;)

spacekdet, there is no units on workspace other than meter, at least we now have that..it is 'bb size' in WS object panel

Thanks, unchecking "keep size" does it :D

Wonder why it isn't checked by default. Always in hunt for the hidden features :p

'bb size'?
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot does that mean?
