Set up the Model side 4 view (inc toolbars, plugins, etc) and save the layout in the Model side (Configuration Library). Then whenever you open up the model side, apply that saved setting to make it all how you like it. It's not perfect solution, just a workaround, but it does work. As someone who always works in four view, this is an issue that's irritated me from the start.
