I create a sphere, open the material editor, select translucence material from the D3D library, drag the material to the sphere, click in D3D Materialeditor on open DX compilers brick library and crash.

I already send a dump file with the automatically email support.

I used to have this sort of issue on a GMA video chipset. Then, when the videocard was upgraded it went away. Could it be that your card doesn't support shader 2?


Try lowering the shader level in the hardware configuration and see if it fixes the problem.

I have to say I found it a treat to use. i spent about 2 1/2 hours on my SMC entry last night and I love the booleans. I never left workspace once and discovered the soft selection...was that there before? anyway, love it.


No crashes. no machine issues. no slowdown. it's brilliant.
