I would like to share with the users of Truespace some settings I use for my work.

1) gray dark background to rest the eyes.

2) the Toolbars together.

3) material of the object that color of yellow (stimulates the reasoning).

4) editing mode with these colors.

5) two windows on the screen (front and side).

I believe this will give much pleasure in shape to users of the program.

You have a nice layout that works for you. More importantly it is very nice having you submit something about yourself here. It's great that you decided to share your experiences with trueSpace with us. Don't hesitate to join our different meetings or challenges if you want to. We are always looking for new participants and unlike other places the users here want to help.

How long have you been using trueSpace?

I do have another question about your layout, if you selected gray for the background (to "rest your eyes") why pick bright yellow for the modeling? You said to "stimulate reasoning" but I would think that would hurt your eyes after awhile?

Nice to have you here Iceman!

Makes two years since I began using Truespace, but the colors of the interface of the program is not giving me much inspiration. I started to realize that the point that I would like in other programs was the window of work. What difference does a color? What difference does a small bar here and another there? Making those questions I was changing the face of my Truespace. It may seem like I say dry rot, but I was just changing the settings and my thoughts begin to flow better! I wonder if someone who used so agree, and what are the interfaces that most like to you?

Steinie and Prodigy, you are very friendly...:D

I like the orange color. Somehow it reminds me of tS3 days.
There are probably as many different layouts/configs as there are tS users.
I usually run with what I have displayed below, but for speed modeling I've found the 4 -views layout really helps.
Now, no more interface fiddling, let's see some renders!

Keep in mind you can also share your layout by attaching the *.tsc (it has a different extension in tS7...'rs'-something-or-other) file to your post. They are stored in the tS/Configs/ folder.
Share, trade them with your friends, collect them all!
Try someone else's and become immediately lost! Fun for the whole family!

Hello Iceman... and welcome! :)

Though this is what I am using right now, one day, I will find the time to use the feature where I can create my personal toolbar of most used buttons. I think that's very cool. Am using tS 6.6. I tried moving all my icons to the left but kept searching for a button I needed ( this layout I have used since Apr. 07 when I bought tS. Habits are hard to break)
And though I understand your reasoning, I rarely use bright colors when modeling a specific object except maybe for the wireframe. I find it tires the eye faster, but that is the beauty of the individual. We all see the same thing differently.
Anyway, wlecome to the community, and please share some of your work. I would love to see what 'Your' eye sees. :D

PS: are you in the Vale Tudo or somtin'? Ya know, Brazil, 'ICE'man, they don't seem to go together :D

Now that I am back to modeling because my motherboard and my HD burned! With that I lost all my work (should have burned to a CD, but ...) and I was a good time without computer to study the program. Things in life! I am not any profissinonal and here in the forum there are thousands of people better than me, and also there is the barrier of language ... (The manual does not "talk" Portuguese), but if we want something, we have to try to do it. Here is a picture I made for testing. Dragneye, I would not last one minute in Valetudo because my Jiu-Jitsu is very rust, but I venture only with my Dreamcast in Ultimate, hahahaha! A hug.

Hi Iceman, nice to have you here.. I'm from North Carolina in USA, and I have worked with some people from Brazil, but sadly I do not speak Portuguese... but it's nice to know you!

I like the background color you chose, and now that you've shown me how.. I am going to change mine too.

That yellow is a very cheerful color. When I want to finish late at night but I'm falling asleep, I could use that color to keep awake. :D

I will show my model space later :)
