I made a man with these and then want to make the arms and legs move.
Problem...
When the arm gets to close to the body it absorbs it. How can I stop this?
Thanks

You could convert him to a mesh, then use bones to animate the character. |

I think 3.2 had bones too, not sure though, it's from rather long ago :) Admittedly if it does have them they won't be as stable, useful, easy to set up and use etc as the new tS7.6 bones, but there might be something there.
You could try making them from separate metaball objects (arms, body, etc) and just glue those together. Then they won't try to fuse with each other (but the join of arm to body etc may not be so smooth).
You could try reducing the range of influence of the metaballs, might allow them to get a little closer without beginning to merge, but there will always be a point where they begin to merge so does depend on your animation.

Try TS 7.6 - it's free! and the tools are fantastic.

I may have a disc from a computer Mag that has free working TS 4.2 on it, I also have 5.2 around somewhere I'd be willing to get rid of if it's 'legal' with Caligari - If you need one of those, let me know

Also, in case you are interested in upgrading, there is a upgrade to 4.2 listed on ebay.

I'd be careful with E-bay listed items, most likely it is pirated. I would be surprised to find a legitimate version of 4.2 for sale on there to be honest, and even then the resale has to go through our customer services, to validate the software is original and to transfer ownership (same applies to purchasing something like tS5 from an existing user here).
For 4.2 on the cover disk, you'd need to send him the entire disk, so that you didn't keep a copy, or you could make it available electronically I guess, so long as you destroyed your original disk or something so that you didn't have a copy of tS4.2 any more, etc. So long as 2 copies don't end up in existence, then that would be ok :)
