I thought I'd offer some mouse tips.
Firstly, if you are looking for a new mouse, you really should consider the Logitech MX1000. If you don't want to take my word for it, ask Norm - he's got 1 too. :)
Now for more specific tips.
This 1 applies to Logitech mice that have back & forwards buttons for using with a web browser. I know it works for the MX1000, but it should work for the various other models that have the back & forwards buttons [assuming you have Setpoint drivers installed instead of just the default MS Windows 1s].
Open the Setpoint control centre.
Select the button you want to modify [on the MX1000 Forward is #7, Back is #8].
Under Select Task, choose Other, & click the Other Function button.
In the drop-down list that appears, select Generic Button.
Why do this? Well, in tS7, in the Link Editor, you should now be able to use the back button to go up a level. Note: the forward button doesn't allow you to go back into an object that you've just come up out of. If I had to guess why, it'd be that going up there's only 1 direction you can go, whereas there are often multiple objects to go forward/down into, hence making it more difficult to program for. I'm also guessing that as such, Caligari may have decided it wasn't worth the time/effort that would have to be expended to add in such a small function [& not as useful as the 1 for back/up].
Also, if you use any other browser than MS IE, & have a Logitech mouse with back & forwards buttons, but they haven't worked before now, try them again now that you've set them to Generic Button & you might get a nice surprise. :) |

You're welcome. :) I have a long way to go before I'm able to contribute anything as useful as you have, though. :)
I may have something else for my fellow Logitech mouse users in the not too distant future.... |

Yes that works also with my Logitech MX510.
I just used the foward/back buttons in web browser but back works also generally in LE to move up in hierarchy :) |
