You don't look a gift horse in the mouth, and all that. Next machine I think I'd like to build myself. No way in hell I'm reinstalling, I'm feeling lucky to have escaped barely alive the first time. I downloaded the full Mozilla Suite as a fallback html editor in case Netscape 4 failed me. They don't seem all that different as far as editing capabilities go- I don't need anything fancy and neither one seems to be that. I prefer Firefox over the Mozilla browser so far- even though underneath they aren't all that different, and I've already got FF set up with quick links to my usual sites and a spiffy skin. Mozilla is definately got a old school retro look that I haven't bothered to figure out how to change yet. Not sure I'll even keep it. Thanks for the tip about moving the sound card to another slot, I might try that if all else fails. I have to open up the case-again- since I have an extra NIC card that I'm going to have to extract; the notification icon in the system tray helpfully informing me it's unplugged is bothering my aethetics. Hmm, most motherboards use generic drivers (or can use the generic drivers until you can find some better ones).
