Well it's been months in the making, but I've finally made the decision to move on to Lightwave. It seems that Caligari and I are going in opposite directions, and as such I feel its time to part ways. I want to thank the people here for helping to introduce me to the world of 3D through TrueSpace and GameSpace, I appreciate it.

I'll still be using TrueSpace/GameSpace during the transition into the new application, but I'm afraid I'll only be stopping by once in awhile now to see how everyone's doing. I just couldn't wait around anymore, hoping for a chance to discover what TS7 brings to the table; maybe they'll have a demo released some day, but for me it is much too late. I hope you all have great success here, and I wish you nothing but the best.

I'll see you around.;)

It's a shame to see you go, we'll check up on your game building.

It's a shame, just after you put up a new avatar.

Sorry to see you go, Keith. All the best for the future. If you don't mind me asking, what made you choose Lightwave over another product, say, modo, or xsi, or maya?

XSI's exporter is still being worked on (for the Torque Pipeline); Modo is a nice modeler, but lacks all the features I need; Maya has issues with Game Development/too pricey for now; and Max is a bit of a handful in addition to the large price tag. In the end the customer service at Lightwave sealed it for me, as well as their community (not to compare it to the great community here). I thought it was the most well-rounded product (that is also proven in the industry) for the price. Thanks, and see you around (great work on the car by the way).

We'll miss ya, Keith. Good luck!

P.S. Might forewarn ya though, based on a number of forums, a lot of LightWavers are not happy, and more than a few seem to be leaving that fold.

Hey Keith, don't be a stranger. I think highly of your work, and I hope you continue to share your inspiration in the future whether built by tS, LW or whatever package you choose. Your professional approach to your projects will surely provide a welcome addition to any new forum.

Continued success!!! :)

Its a sad day when we lose a truespacer and even sadder when its one like yourself. All I can really say is that I wish you well and to thank you for all the kind comments and encouragement that you've given me on my work.

All the best Dude - and if the greener pastures turn out to be dried and burnt grass you always know you can come back to trueSpace. Take care out there.

Seeing as how I just bought into the Lightwave and Vue bundle I am not far behind...we'll see. I might stick with both or sell one.

Yep, although I believe Caligari has also been using this type of forums for the GameSpace crowd for quite awhile now. Well, I'm sure we'll get to talking over there as well.:)

Alright, you've got my e-mail address (or just stop by our forums to say "hey"). I'm still using TS/GS to stay productive till I can make the switch fully; I've made a spot of money on my pack made with TS so far though. Talk to you later.

Want to laugh :), I've been working in many of the other big packages the last couple of years... just getting ready to dive head first back into TS7 :D

Funny how sometimes life works that way. In the end, the package you use is only a small part of what you are creating, you are the biggest part.

Good luck Keith, hope to see you around, I always enjoyed your enthusium and drive.

Haven't seen you around in the GS forums in quite a bit, Rich. I'll be keeping an eye on TS when it reaches 7.5; if the animation tools can be used to export character animations into Torque I may be back. You never know.
