I understand now why caligari does not issue a demo, they want it to be complete with all the bells and whistles. It is sad that they do not realize that what they got can attract many customers. People been waiting for the longest time and so have I. But I gave up on waiting long time ago. Can someone email me when the demo is done?

Well according to the post you made in another thread. No need to tell you as you will be back. Hi, I come around every month to see what new stuff has been done in Ts7;)

Cheers,

If anyone wanted TS7 bad enough and were willing/able to pay for it if it was suitable there is always the 30 day money back guarantee...I would think that would be long enough to decide if it was for you. A lot quicker than waiting for a demo and no restrictions on the programs features in that time...

Splinter I agree, but I never had to buy something until I tried the demo first. I simply will not pitch out that much cash to see if it is worth my time, and go through stress of having to return it in time and all that other stresses that goes with it. Not my cup of caligari!

While it is true that the 30 day money back guarantee does mean you can in effect "demo the full program", we do understand that this is not for some people and that a free of charge, free of obligation, no need to give your credit card details demo is preferred.

We always kept all factors in mind while considering the demo situation, from all sides, including what our users wanted, what was possible technically, and what we thought was a good way to let people see the features and abilities of tS7.

We did decide a month or two back that a demo was the way to go, but at this point, it would simply delay the release of tS7.5 to create the demo for the current version - and then of course we would have to redo the demo anyway when tS7.5 did come out! Bear in mind that our development cycle has accelerated thanks to the new platform and technology in tS7, so we are not looking at 12 months before this upgrade :)

So with tS7.5 coming up, we decided to wait. The announcements will be on the home page when the demo is out, emails will go out to registered customers or those who own demos of earlier versions, so I am sure it will be easy to spot when it happens :)

HTH!

Cool. Sounds like there WILL be a demo. It is a good idea to have one. I'm inclined to agree with the hesitation to use the 30 day period as a "full demo". I always feel guilty somehow returning stuff for a refund even if company policy supports it. I'm sure a lot of folks just naturally feel that way too.

Well, a lot of us just get too busy to remember when the 30 days are up. Hopefully the demo comes after the release of 7.5, and not 7.x; otherwise...well, I'll stop talking :)

Maybe there should be a thread dedicated to questions from ts6 and below users to ask ts7 users, about tS7. (hope that makes sense)
