Pre-release // Rants and Raves 1  |   Order by default Post by rrf // May 10, 2007, 3:06am rrf Total Posts: 319 I hesitate to write this, knowing that Caligari is doing and has done everything they can to get 7.5 to it's pre-release customers - and I should be used to this (the delay) by now having went through it for the pre-release of Vue 6 inf.In thinking about the frustration (and time spent on the computer when I should be doing other things) I have to say I actually think pre-releases are bad.....my wife is complaining about the time spent waiting, 'glued' to the computer in anticipation, reading and rereading the forum messages - it's all psychological I know, I could have just as easily went about my business and checked my email as I normally do...but it's that sense of excitement and anticipation - kind of like Christmas. Actually it was my April 11 birthday present (which, by the way I still don't have and can't use yet) If it was a $1000 wide screen TV, I'd have it already, and that's the thing with pre-releases - excitement builds for the (first) release date...then the 'let-down'...then, there's hope! a new release date!, then another 'let-down'....finally the final release date, the final release time! - then ANOTHER let-down, by now, I feel empty and drained, like all the Caligari workers who put their all into this and have nothing left. There is some part of me that doesn't care anymore, and this is not how I think I want to feel....obviously I'm still here, on the Forum, writing this, but I think this is part of why I haven't been a part of this before - I know about 'pre-releases' and the let-downs, and still I'm 'here' again.........Having got that 'off my chest', I want to say Thank You to all the folks at Caligari, I know I'm going to love the program, and hope to be working with it soon. rf Post by Steinie // May 10, 2007, 3:56am Steinie Total Posts: 3667 We're all in the same boat (except the part about your cool flat screen). How many people do you think ordered 7.5?
