I have had to be out awhile and may have missed something, but wasn't V-ray 1.52 a free upgrade from 1.51 ? I don't have it in my download section. |

It's not in your download section but rather an email message with a link. Check your email dated 8/1/2007 or call 1-800-351-7620
Caligari why isn't it in our download section for future reference or installs? |

In the downloads, your V-Ray product will have been replaced by 1.2 - so just downloading that again will give you the full, latest install.
Version numbers only become relevant in the download section when it is a paid upgrade (so not everyone will have it). When a patch is released, the download version is always replaced with the latest one, to save on you having a list of different versions in there when only one (the latest) is relevant.
Same applies with tS7.51 for instance, you won't find both 7.5 and 7.51 listed in your download, just the latest version.
HTH!

Tom,
I'm still not understanding something correctly then. I think my original version was just 1.5. We were then patched to 1.51. Now, I thought, we were patched to 1.52.
Here is what is in my downloads:
V-Ray 1.5 for trueSpace Downloadable Vray1.51 Installation File Vray151.zip 10.7 MB
(http://cart1.caligari.com/ebuy2/download/files/vr15/VR151download.asp)
7.51 is in my other downloads... the same as with 6.6 to 7.1... so I'm trying to figure out if 1.52 IS a patch or an upgrade I guess

My most used tool
Or Ctrl + z which is lots quicker
Careful with Vray1.52 EyeInStein it may have a black edge bug that is not present in Vray 1.5. Might be an individual system thing though of course. Don't delete your TS7.5 install just yet perhaps

Hi all,
Just a note, the download has been corrected, looks like the Repeat Downloads was giving an older version for a while. Now it gives the latest version, sorry for the confusion!

You mean that Vray 1.52 itself was not on the server I think... and that Vray 1.52 users have been using an older build of Vray which has been causing the black edge problem?
Thank goodness for that we weren't going bonkers :)
Tom how to tell which version/build of Vray is installed please?

Go to your truespace 7.5 folder and read either the Vray manual or readme, both have Vray 1.52 in the title, presuming you have it installed. |

Thanks splinters
Looks as if the With Sympathy (black edged) Vray version has been updated and we've caught news of it before an official announcement. We dearly hope :)
