'modelling has been improved' - I would assume that this refers to the improvement/addition to modelling tools in the workspace side, not any change to the older 'model-space' side - but as I don't yet have the programme that's just my interpretation of the text quoted...

Unfortunately, confusion is created by having one side called Model and the other Workspace, whereas modelling can be done in both, but only the Workspace modelling tools are under development. So if its new modeling tools it is for sure Workspace tools.

This leads me to think that a simple breakdown of which side gives what might be helpful for new Users (although you do get this in the way the PDF manual is divided up!).

Knowing how tSpacers reacted to the combined t6.6/ts7 merged architectures perhaps it is best that new users realise they in effect have two programs for the price(!) of one. My suggestion would be they learn Workspace and only go to the old legacy IF Workspace tool is lacking. Saves having to get your head round 2 programs at once....just a thought

Hi Stem,

Bug reports and feature suggestions are always welcome, whether a product is free or not. Users are still entitled to have an opinion and have wants and needs even with free software :)

Pricing and future versions cannot be discussed - it has always been Caligari policy not to discuss future plans, until things are ready to be released.

"Modeling tools" will always just mean the general range of tools available. New tools will always be on workspace side only. "Model side" is used to reference the aspect of the program. These tools you mention here are all workspace side tools :) Model side was never a great name we agree in retrospect, but once tS7 released with it, it had to stick to avoid confusion with users by changing the name.

HTH!

Hi Tom,

These tools you mention here are all workspace side tools :) OK, thanks.

Is there a change_log/ bugfix list available? (from 7.51 - 7.6)

This is an old bug but I'm wondering why it was not fixed in TS7.6?

Drop down 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D changes to only 1d and 4D if you use the orange triangle first. To get back you have to reload the saved layout.

It is one of those pain in the a** bugs that should have been squashed.

Well, at least 7.6 is not constantly crashing on me, so I may now even be able to complete a full project in TS.

it only seems to happen if you are at system level when you change to 4d, so don't go to 4d when there is just 2d or 3d on the droplist. ;)

if there are other times it happens I've yet to come across them.

on system level the button's droplist should not appear forcing you to go back into another upper level before attempting to change to 4d.

edit; it came to my attention that people are clicking on the orange triangle when in 4d instead of the button droplist and in two clicks you are at system level so thats where many get caught with no 2d 0r 3d. a solution is surely needed.
