Here is a script that will open a new custom window that can be cutomized with different settings that is
independent of the current default windows in tS7.5 - tS7.6 Workspace.
Copy, Extract, or Move this folder "New Window" to the C:\trueSpace75\tS\Rs Main Libraries folder.
14500
Start trueSpace then open the Library Browser and double click the New Window library.
With the Link Editor open, double click the New Window Installer that is in the New Window library.
Change the Width and Height if desired.
Select the Open button and a new window will appear in the top left corner.
14523
If you wish to further customize this window just select it's titlebar so that it is highlighted.
In the Stack/Settings change the settings to what you would like for the Background, Ground, Postprocess, or Scene.
When you are finished select the Save button.
When you want to use your New Window again just use the New Window Installer script.

Important: Do not change the name of the library or New Window object or this script will
not work. Also I would not advise you to insert the New Window.RsObj into the Link Editor
from the library as it is designed to be installed to the Windows Manager Space.

Thanks for that. Have installed it. At least the first chapter worked. A big success for me :)
The second chapter though, i am lost with your advices ...
And i have a problem now. By installing this script and clicking the New Window Object i get weird results in the main workspace window now. I cannot set the grid to opaque mode anymore. And have lost the grid. And a new opened window still has the old, default colours ...

By the way, how do i uninstall a script? |

You are killing me Tiles. This script does not really install anything it just opens a saved window from library. When you close this new small window with the X close button everything is gone. As mentioned previously when you run this script it loads the file from library and the script is deleted.
You sure do have a mess with the toolbars there. Maybe this is your problem. Never the less just reset the default context would most likely restore you back to good health. |

Sorry trueBlue for making so much trouble. I told you SE is not my world :)
Reset to default context has indeed solved the problem. Nevertheless curious what happens here. I would have loved to use your script. Would have saved me lots of work. Anyway, was worth a try :) |

No problem Tiles. :) I have used this script 100 times with no problems what so ever. I do not know what you got going on there but this script should not cause you any problems. Looking at your toolbars makes me think that is the problem in its self. You have double copies of toolbars maybe even triple. |

Yeah, but that's not my fault. TS doesn't care that i still have the toolbars separated. It always opens the lower bar too :) |

not my world
It's part of our world but the map is mostly marked 'Here Be Ye Dragons' :)
We're on the lower slopes of Everest thank goodness for guides it's uphill all the way but exhilarating views
Select the Install button
Sounds good thanks trueBlue these intimate introductions to LE objects are absolutely invaluable and Workspace windows are so much quicker to render
When you want to use your New Window again just use the New Window Installer script
Eek? :)

Gimme the time to find my way through all the available tools in TS Workspace, and i may start climbing the LE path then ;)
Currently i am more than busy with exploring the native tools. As the bug corner may show ... :D |

Well granted customizing toolbars is not user freindly. But there is a way to do it properly. Still there is one limitation where as you can only have one toolbar the hides when you switch to Model. Someday I will try to show the way. Here is a picture of my Quad layout. |

I updated this script to make a little more user friendlier. |
