Just a quick layout... Barely scrached the surface... Not sure whats going to be abandoned in the dumpster... might be grim... But then abandonment could be pretty grim... |

Coming along nicely. Be careful with the texture on the wall. The bricks don't line up at the door opening. |

I see you abandoned the luster with this view. It reminds me of a black -n- white movie and we're waiting to see someone whose been roughed up to be thrown out the back door ! |

Interesting..is that the unskilled worked propped up against the wall? It is hard to discern the main character from the wall due to the coloring scheme. I love the look, but it's hard to see some of the detail. |

Bet that trash was a lot of work.
This has an interesting style. Sort of old movie like. Kind of comic bookish. Bad photograph look. Not meaning your image is bad but that the work you did with the colors gives an impression of a hastily snapped photo. |

Not rely drastic changes... More back to my original idea.. which was to have a live baby in the dumpster.. the most cruel and hideous abandonment imaginable... I'm just not skilled enough of an organic modeler to make a realistic baby... So instead of an abandoned child... I had an adolescent abandon childhood... |

Wow, okay...great concept and well done!
I'm with you there on the skill for such things. That is why you won't see any people in my scenes because I am just not even close to being there. |

Understand. Sometimes I think it may be difficult for some to give constructive criticism until they are more comfortable with someone. You never know who might start flaming if you offer a suggestion on a "different" way of doing something which holds some people back from offering suggestions. |

Ok I'll do a critique on your rendering.
The texturing looks absent on the pallets and probably needed on the paper products (like stains).
The door jam is too flush to the wall, I would have the trim stand out slightly.
The texturing on the dumpster lids are the same on all three. You could rotate the textures to give them some variety.
The tonal quality on this piece is nicely done but the blur was over done making the sign almost unreadable.
I think you could have lead the viewer's eye to the discarded bear better.
You can do this using objects tilted toward the object, camera focus, perspective, unique colors or by centering the view point.
I liked how you handled the theme and see improvements every time you participated. Keep asking for viewer's opinions because they make you better.
Kind of hard for me to critque your work when I didn't get votes myself but the competition was really good. |
