Wondering if someone help shed some light on this subject before spead lots of money.

Where creating a game using the TGEA right now and at the part where need to buy 3d max or truespace

And tell you the truth want to buy once and no have go out do this search again. Need a product that meet 3d max or beat it. And not leave a hole in the wallet. Paying out for 3d max is not a issue but rather understand the difference between the 2 programs.

The difference is the integration in the industrie. Which reflects in the price.

trueSpace plays on a totally different level.

The question is what you need to do for your Game.

...Try Softimage XSI, modeling is nice (even if I like SILO&Zbrush more ^^) and has all the baking technique you need for you model/textures. Additionally connections to the most gameformats. And it isn't so expensive like 3ds.

I'm planning on purchasing 3D max and Gamespace with addon for creating levels.

3D Max is a standard and need to have several copies for are employee's.

Right now use 3D World studio to design all my buildings and love the software for its fast and results are strong!

But see that Gamespace has lots of power and one thing found is the gamespace light does not have a manuel. Only thing need to learn here , lol
