Well, since I have been a Truespace user since version 2 or so (off and on over the years) I have always admired Truespace for its simplicity. Even though I do have Softimage XSI I still go back to Truespace. Anyway, just spent a few hours with the 7.5 demo. Let me tell you ... Iam blown away! I spent the time in the WORKSPACE. The excitement of working with almost true render quality in realtime is a feeling I have not had since I first tried Truespace many years ago. Using the edgeloops, polygon bridge, polydraw and sweeping tools is allowing me to model like clay and to see in realtime what Iam doing. Iam soooooo hooked. AND the soft modeling paint brush is so much easier than the one in XSI. In XSI I have to go through a bunch of steps just to get to that function and its now user friendly. Wow, the workflow is so fast for me. Congratulations Caligari, this is truly awesome. Iam so glad Caligari put up the 7.5 demo. Well better get back to it as Iam hooked.

Good to hear you are enjoying it...and have you even messed with the hair and animation yet? And what about Vray...etc. etc.

Good to hear positive comments about 7.5. Still, they do say that people rarely post the good news...just the problems...:D

I think the softaint deform is at the moment a very underated aspect of 7.5 because until now we really haven't had anything like it. Its taking people a while to catch on to how useful this can be - or perhaps they are just having so much fun playing with it. (Though I still want to see it taken one step further with Wacom pressure support - users, we always want more!)
