Hi, I just got a trial version of Truspace. First thing I notice is that undo seems to be quite erratic. Example: Created a box and a cylinder. Applied a union. Tried to apply a fillet. Result: A highly undesireable shape. Tried undo - but it is greyed out. Found several other instances where undo is disabled although it does not seem like it should.

What are the restrictions with Undo in Truspace? Which things can be undone and which can't?

Thanks!

CS

assuming you are talking about 7.x version you have to take care which window you are just working in. Workspace/Model each have their own undo so that could be a reason since it should work for most things you do.

Modeler: right click at the undo and choose "undo redo all actions". Is at "Un/Redo object" by default. This gives you no guarantee that every action can be undone though. Some actions still cannot be undone.

I am not sure if something similar exists in the workspace. Haven't touched it since months.

From the fact that you said you applied a Union (boolean union) tells me that you are using model side because boolean features haven't yet been implemented in workspace.

In answer to your question, yes the undo feature is erratic however it is mainly so when you use boolean tools such as: union, subtract and intersect. As a general rule these are 'non undo-able' actions. However rules can always be broken and on the odd occasion trueSpace allows you to undo a boolean action.

Anyway, turning off the bridge helps when using the undo function (ie it makes it faster) because it doesn't have to undo in both model side and workspace.

Hope that helps.

Undo was always a little 'erratic' in ts6.6 but I think it was 'tweaked' a little for tS7.1 even though all the advances have been made in workspace where undo is much better with many more levels of undo.

Still, that does not help if you are using model side only.
