in the spring of 2005, I purchased trueSpace 6.6 to make - try to make - object COB for ActiveWorlds.
With this new free build is possible? |

you can save the objects you make as .cob files. you go to the 'model' side and use the menu to 'save as object' and it saves it as a cob file, not the newer RScob like it would from workspace side. |

I apologize for this my question, but I seem to have not seen cob in the features in the site pages. |

if you save an object from the workspace side it saves as .RScob, it's just caligaris newer version of the .cob file. Not sure of all the differences my self either |

Daniel, you must use the "tS6 File" menu to find the Save as COB option. That menu is located on the top-right corner of the Modeler window. |

RsCob will store all the new workspace information that a COB will not - eg the new bones system, the new real-time materials, morphs, animation keyframes, etc. Since these are data structures unknown to tS6.6, the old COB format won't store them and will just "throw them away". If you need any of that stored, then you'll need to go with RsCob.

I know Emmanuel :) Just answering the question raised twice "What is the difference between RsCob and Cob" since no-one seemed to know what was different between the two file formats.
