Hi just got Truespace 7.6. And I was looking at the forums on how to put an AVI (or a video) file into an object plane or background. I tried the suggestions but cant seem to get the AVI either into the library or unto the texture via materials editor. Is there a simple solution to this that I am not seeing.

Yes, key framed first frame of an object, then go to to the last frame and move object a little and keyframe it. For background the animate check box needs to be checked (if I remember right) menu is opened by rClicking on background shader button. Materials are pretty much the same, must have animate checked, keyframed first and last etc.. Let me know if this helps or not.

ah! a response. Thanks..Being very new, I think you may have to think real simple for me.

I have a plane object. I have a 30 second movie as an avi file. I would like to put that movie into the plane or cube - very much like a texture. But when I try to open the avi file in texture, it comes out blank.

Thanks a bunch..

I believe that only works in the Model side, for the offline renderers. There's no direct way to get a video playing in the real-time workspace side.
