Hmm ... is this still an active question Jason?

In vb variables are variant type (undeclared). Makes it easy to pass along data. Just declare the value once you receive it if required. CStr() is instruction to convert the value to type string. There are other ones to convert to integer or such.

Hi Norm.

No, this was solved way back when. Even when using Cstr I still need quotes around the data. I use Chr(34) for this, currently.
