Here is a new element to end the week. The massive base contrasts with the sharpness of the screen. This kind of inconsistency promotes surreal ambience.

I still don't understand how the duplication works. Does the plane have a repeating texture of one armbot?

The massive base for the delicate, fragile, screen is another contrast. It is like the camera bot is looking at plans for a robot city they are building.

Yes, the plane have a vertical repeating texture. Most important is to create the armbot texture with the same view than the final image to avoid distortion. It is not the same method than to duplicate an entire scene as previously shown.

I think using this simple method to create a "rain of centibot" falling on the city. I would like to use the screen to show a "future Truespace" with holographic projection of the interface. It can be nice. I wanted to make a thread about this question but why not include it in this clip? :)

Some tests for the holographic interface.

A very good plugin for the workspace. ;)

Holographic interface, that would be fun.

The holographic interface gives me an idea of scenario: to create confusion for the viewers. Have a doubt about which of both worlds is true (the armbot world or the world represented in the interface that seems more real).

in addition it would promote Truespace ;)

An interesting animation would be with your bot looking at the screen with the screen showing your exterior shot, panning through the screen to the interior with the bot looking at the screen, ad infinitum, or a least 2 loops.... whichever you have the patience for.... :D

Thank for yours reply. I need another help:

Here is the first sequence of the animation. In fact, the title (B.O.T.). The 3 points specify an abbreviation of 3 words. The "O" with a point at the center is to do an eye because the eyebot often looks toward the viewer during the animation.

At the moment I have several solutions for B.O.T.

1-Bailment Obvallation Terminal

2-Blast-furnace Overdrive Terminal

3-Bleak Orbital Terminal

4-Breeding Obscure Terminal

I can not judge its true meaning. The ideal would be to find similar words in French and in English. understandable for a French.

Are these proposals correct for English?. Are they understandable? What do you prefer? (figures in order of preference).

I need to choose the final title.

Thank for your help.

Nice font!

How about Biomechanical Organism Techno-foundry?

as in: Biomechanical = somehow organic/biological and also mechanical (e.g. cyborg) Other possible word substitutions: Biokinetic, biomorphological, binary.... all a bit less fitting?

Organism = living creature

Techno-foundry = high-tech 'foundry' or forge, i.e. a place where metallic objects/machines are made... could substitute techno-foundry for techno-forge or techno-workshop etc....

Thank for the ideas (especially the "ad infinitum" view from v3rd3) :)

For Nez: the font is "twenty century poster", the same i use for the title of my last cg movie "Sonde".

I really need a confirmation on this point (i have a poor english and use translate soft):

is it correct to write: "Bleak Orbital Terminal" or "Breeding Obscure Terminal" or "Breeding Obscure Technologie"

Does it make sense to you? what is the best?

If i write something in the animation, i want to be sure that is a correct english before i do the render.

Bleak Orbital Terminal

Sounds ok in English and probably describes your scene the best of the three choices.

I think the wind will be something useful for objects floating in the air.

Or you could just use an older computer and let it run...

OK It is time to temporarily stop this thread.

I have enough interesting things to develop the script and to focus on the animation. this thread really motivated me but I must think of the production now. This will take time (a few months). I will keep you informed of progress. I can begin to test lots of special effects to do (rain, Lightning, futuristic interface for TS and more) . it is the part I like. Thank you again to all who help me (This would require a long list for the generic of the movie). :)

hello! :)

I am back to show you the evolution of my movie. For reason of size I send you a small size compared to the original which is in hd. I worked with special effects and sound to make the atmosphere more disturbing. Initially the bots do not move quickly but they will activate. I look forward to the futuristic interface of Truespace and prepare the invasion of Skytown. To view the video, you need the h264 codec, which is now a standard. Pity you can not see the HD video on a 50 inches screen. ;)

You need an h264 codec decoder. Try installing this:
http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

Decodes pretty much anything out there. ;)

Once that's installed you should be able to watch the movie in Windows Media Player.

I tried the above and I can not get the video to show only sound. Also tired Quicktime 7.6 which does not work for video nor sound.
