The idea is something I've been sitting on for a Flash game, try and do a card board cutout world
I used TS 6.6, some things used LithUnwrap, the simplier things TS, the shed was textured in Flash and the image exported as a JPG, flash gives really clean lines, cardboard was PaintShop Pro, trees UV'ed in TS, and the fence but the white hasn't shown very well
Shader is UV toon with one local light, shadows set high
It has a terrain but you can't tell! where the light is its not defining the lumps n bumps very well
edit fixed :) |

This looks really good but I don't get one thing - did you assemble all the pieces in a paint program? |

ah, now I understand. I thought you perhaps rendered each part in TS and then assembled them. Very cool! :D |

UV Toon gives it the outline and the shading, its pretty cool but its quite hard to get the right light.
Next I'll mess with the texture on the shed some more, make the plants a bit more random and generally shift things about :) |

This looks great, nigec!
Have you seen Frank's cardboard work? He took a more photo realistic cinematic approach but both are very interesting and cool!

Frank's stuff looks great, I wonder if he kept going with it? I really like the style
On a Flash game engine site we considered doing something on the same lines for a charity game, maybe use the Flash plugin but the lines look aweful, I've since found away to fix that :)
Thanks Jack and Spyfrog :) |

Well done, Nigec. Beautiful colors and a great use of the toon shader.
I would give some space to the objects in the front, so that they come apart. Because of the lines of the toon shader they are not easily recognizable. As for your flowerbeds: perhaps a texture on the grass so that the curves show up?
I love your sun hanging on the ceiling.

I plan to make the plants various sizes or maybe card looking veggies, the first ground texture did show where the grass was raised and raised part were the plants are but it looked odd against the more flat colours.. I'll think of something :) |
