Hi, I have just started to use TS7.51 and somehow the screen became set as shown in attached image. How do I get back to a default layout. Seems like everyting I try just gets me back to this very unhelpful screen.

Many thanks, apologises for such a trivial question.

Hi RiftValley! Welcome to the forums!

Shut down truespace

Navigate to your truespace folder. Mine is:

D:\trueSpace75\ts

There is a file called:

default.ctx

rename this file to something like: default_ex.ctx

Restart truespace. The Default.ctx file will be recreated for you, and you will be returned to a normal view.

You could also select one of the Layouts from the Tabs at the top of your screen. For instance Default.

The 3D window has been closed. Also looks like he's changed his layout directory...

Simplest would probably be to click the "reset to default context" icon on the icon bar with the "XYZ" to restore the defaults.

Ah right I did not even notice they were not Layouts.
I agree that Resetting the Default context would be the easiest.

Many thanks Jason, Jack and TrueBlue,

Back on track. Most of my work entails 3D design work and then putting these designs into graphics packages for publication in brochures and websites. I have had TS in various forms for several years now but have not used the program a great deal because my other work takes priority.

I will post some more questions in more appropriate forums as I progress with the package. Specifically, I found it a bit of a stretch going from 6.6 to 7.51 just need to get used to the interface, I guess.

Thanks again
