 In the stack panels for the hair tools (Hair Density, Hair Length, etc.) I don't get the "Mode" dropdown list that is displayed in the manual. Therefore, I don't seem to be able to select between Add and Subtract mode for the tools. The Hair Length panel does have the Max Length field, and a label that says "Mode" next to it, but there's no dropdown list along with the label. (See attached pics.) Any suggestions on how I can get the dropdown to appear? Thanks.

I guess this must have changed in 7.51...:confused:


However, you can get the effect you want by manually typing in a negative value in the brush magnitude number field even though the slider only goes down to zero. Same with sharpness.

 Yep, that did the trick; thanks! :) (I should have tried this, but I saw that the slider for some of the tools DO let you go below zero, while some don't, and I never even thought of checking whether keyboard entry would let me go below zero for those that can't "slide" there. Oh well, another reminder to always try everything...)
