Trying to make the antenna on this model, grow from short to long.


Help plz!

You can use morph,

Make a new morph then select antenna top face, press sweep or just move face upward.,

Each sweep edit (or face selection movement) can be saved as a morph slider %.

So your antenna will grow by sliding the slider(s), which are then keyframe-able.

Morphs as mentioned below will work.


As an alternative, you could make the aerial like a real world one, multiple cylinders contained inside each other - then you can use keyframed animation to slide them out from inside each other.


Recent Bitesize video shows keyframing the movement of a camera, and principle here would be the same, just you move the aerial parts. If your vehicle will be moving, you'll have to ensure the movement is relative and not absolute, so that the aerial movement will add on top of the movement of the vehicle (record using additive blend mode in the workspace, see the manual for more information).
