Hi all. My name is Uber Noob and I asked my m8 breech block to post this for me as I can't seem to register on the forum.

I was perusing the web recently and downloaded this FREE bluespace 3d thingy. I dont know anythink about it but it was free so I got it.

I want to make somethink like the left picture below and enter it in a competition and win loads of money and become famous and work for ILM, or Pixar if ILM arnt intrested. So far I have got as far as the picture on the right and am looking for some help as I have spent at least 5 minutes on it and arnt getting anywhere. Now I have seen the manual and all the tutorial vids but can't be bothered to watch/read any of them. I was wondering if someone could watch them all for me and give me a brief summary. Or better still, could someone turn what I have done so far into the picture on the left. But make it a bit better so it looks like it was done by someone really good. Then you could send it to me via breech. Or better yet, could you enter it into a competition for me as I dont really understand all the rules and cant be bothered to find out what they all mean. You'll have to come up with a really uber cool sig for me as well as I can't be bothered to make one up just yet. If it wins, you can send any prizes on to me. If it doesnt, then perhaps you could pass what you have done on to someone who is better at this 3d stuff than you and perhaps he can win me somethink.

Cheers, much appreciated - Uber Noob

I think you or your friend forgot to include the scene file, I have a few extra minutes and I was will to get his modeling most of the way done. I like how far he got with the modeling though, very imaginative.

Uber Noob, I didn't know trueSpace had a manual!
After all these years using trueSpace and a new guy shows up and teaches me a thing or two.
Already your further along then I was when I started. My first object was a sphere and you are already up to a cube!
Are those Harry Potter figures your trying to model? Cool!
Who knows maybe you can show up to the Thursday Night Birds of a Feather and show us a thing or two.
I like saying " a thing or two" hahaha did you notice?
I hope your Harry Potter scene doesn't have blood. I don't like blood. Blood scares me.
Drop the "l" and the "d" in Blood and what do you have?
See it's scary...

Here New Comer, I made you a flow chart of steps you need to take in order to learn 3D modeling.

You need the "Make SW Image" button. It's in the bottom left, just in the middle, over on the right. It's on a flyout, I think the default icon is "Generate Tea" (though it could be Coffee, been a while since I used the default layout).

Anyway, if you click on that button, it should create an image at least as good as the one you posted. A right click will open the settings, which should be self explanatory. You can check things like "Include Boba Fett" or "Small Green One To The Scene Add", use the drop down list to select from all possible SW locations, choose what era in the timeline, and so on.

Do NOT use the "Annoying CG Secondary Character" option though.

Should take just a few seconds and you'll have the scene of your dreams. Then use the "Real-time Create Resume" which will print out a resume and a copy of the image, which you can then send to ILM, Pixar, NASA, GM, a pop band of your choice, and small countries looking for Presidents.

We look forward to seeing your first movie, space launch, car, chart hit, or passed bill!

HTH!

I actually submitted the 'render amazing' button for the tS7.0 UI but Roman thought it was a bit unfair to all those who spent their lives learning to become great artists.

So he took it out...

Sorry.
