Messing around with the LE more I've come to find out that there seems to be a hidden connection for example:

There are technically 2 "background widget" things doing on here
1)Widgets->Tools->Background Widget
2)Active Widgets Layer2->Active Widget, 1

These two are the exact same and when you modify the (1) then (2) gets updated to be just like it(1).

They have to be communicating in some way because if delete one and make it the exact same the other won't see it as most likely the communication that binded them together is different.

So if possible would you, Caligari, let us possibly see these hidden communications as an option under the link editor preferences? That would help in some situations that things seem to not work because of miss communication between nodes.

Also if there is time having the number line your on to the left of the code would be nice also instead of in the status bar but that's something small so it's okay if it doesn't get in later releases.

actually, there are hidden links - but what you mentition is not the case.

hidden links are used the same way as a private or protected methods inside classes - you make link hidden from code because you don't want anyone except of you to link/modify it.

the widgets are synchronizing content between prototypes and instances so that values you change in preferences panel of some tool is also set in active widget. the same is true for topology - this is used for editing so you have real time feedback if you change something..

Thanks Thomas, makes sense and because of that it would be nice to have a "LE Refresh" button just in case instead of having to use the "reset to default context" or restart the ts7 when this happens. Right now my alt+mouse event is acting funny (connected but won't sync right until I disconnect and reconnect a line) and a "LE Refresh" button may fix this problem.
