I have a spooky scene that's supposed to be entirely on the player side. I save often but it seems not to matter since when I do it doesn'y seem to save correctly. For example, I save in the stack under mLibrary(I created it) then save(insert) it's fine but when I insert(a 2nd, 3rd ....) an updated version then close ts7 then open ts7 again it is gone!! Luckily it was mostly (simple)LE stuff but this is getting annoying! Also I have tried to import them back in but it won't do it correctly and so I get an icon with the message "no preview" and yes I checked the file itself and it contains about 13mb of data that cannot seem to be loaded correctly. Please tell me this is fixed in ts7.1 because the unmatching file extensions and not being able to load a scene that obviously has data sux

I found out a solution but that means you have to export the library everytime.

I usually save to the Projects stack, creating a new library under there with an appropriate name.

A "Project" in this sense is kind of like the scene used to be in tS6.6 - it is the geometry and textures etc, but it is also the settings for the Player etc too (plus also the Layout eg window sizes etc). It's much more of a complete snapshot.

Note that I always use the pre-existing Scene, Project etc, and just create libraries inside those. Not sure if you have created a new entry altogether in the stack, or whether you created a new scene library under Scenes.

Anyway, hope this gives some help!

Is it possible you could post a screen shot of the misbehaving scene library you are inserting to .

Thanks

Here's the library I use. To be sure since it seems to happen if I don't is insert scene(replace if it's there) then export library everytime to be on the safe side though. I think at some point it got so wierd on me that all the libraries were missing so I had to re-install ts7 since the button to set everything back to default didn't work.

To tell the truth, I no longer have that problem as long as I seem to follow the export to library step. I actually have another but it's pretty much the same but with older scenes on the ones you see.

thanks for screen shot , i wanted to see if the scenes were being inserted to a scene library.

there does seem to be something odd that if you place them there they are gone during a exit and relaunch,.

and yes the new library system does need the custom added objects and objects libraries exporting to an external file if they are to be reloaded into a "project / workspace" at a later time.

Also one thing to note as well is that if you make additions to these libraries then they will also need exporting with the extra items that have been added , else when the exported file is reloaded it will only contain the objects that were there at the time of export.
