Stereo 3D viewer creates an anaglyph type 3D image using red and cyan for left and right.

load the anaglyph object into the scene

push the button then select the 3d camera and set the view to camera view

push the initialize button to start the 3d image

adjust the eye separation and convergence to get a good 3d effect

you can also adjust the camera fov, the strength of the red and cyan colors, the background color and the resolution of the projected image

you can manipulate a selected object but you can't select an object through the viewer

This is cool, Thanks again ClintonMan, are other colors available? I mean if the blue was just a little greener.

But I checked it with red green glasses and it looks pretty good.

The Stormtrooper head pops right out.

Cheers

Nope no other color combinations would be as easy. Colors are defined as (red, green, blue) and the node puts red to the left eye and green and blue to the right eye. So the "blue" side is actually cyan. If the stormtrooper is popping out I think the red and cyan(or green) on your lenses needs to be reversed. The head should pop out and the stormtrooper should pop in.

Edit: Actually, it wouldn't be too hard for someone to change the colors. I have only the red blue glasses so I can't do it. I have no way to test it.

Hi Clinton,

That looks better, Thank you

This is an awesome idea for a web campaign.

A sad consolation for trueplay. but Ill take it.

Really nice

Hi Clinton.

I hope to make a dancing 3D skeleton with bones showing.

I wanted to implement splend shader with a bit of bloom and glow.

Is there any tips or suggestions on types of lighting? WIll it mess things up if I use un neutral lighting, like reds and greens?

I want to create the animation. render to HD frames and upload to youtube when Im finished.

Thanks again and Cheers for this innovative item!

This is going to be fun!

The colors used in the scene don't matter at all. The first thing it does is convert the colors to black and white and then converts that to the red and cyan colors for the stereo 3D effect. I've tried this with some of the base scene files and you have to fiddle with eye separation and convergence to get a good result. In the night church scene I had to adjust both depending on which direction I was facing. So you may need to animate these values for some renders.

Clinton,

Anything special I have to do for using scene settings like Bloom Glow and Anti Alias.

It did not appear as if those were working.

Thanks Again and Cheers

Oops, looks like I forgot to export the connectors. Use the link editor to export the post process connectors for left and right render targets as shown in the picture, then load the post process node from the "Render to Texture" library and hook it up. You will need to change to Exp or Default aspects to hook them up.

I hooked it up, but I would feel better to know that you did it.

Can you upload another one for me?

BTW I recently got the Journey to the Centre of the Earth film in 3d and thats done with magenta and green rather than red and cyan. (Makes everything kind of look black and white even though its coloured although certain warm colours really popout as bright orange!)

I exported the post process, antialiasing and preview from both render targets. See new version 3.01 in the first post.
