Depends what render engine you are using.
If real-time, there is a lot of forum discussion and examples on how to get it working (I don't have enough experience with that area of real-time to comment).
If Lightworks, you need to use the Model side Material Editor, and load an image sequence (use the first image) or an AVI file as the texture, and ensure that the animation box is checked in the material. Then when you render to final images, the texture will update frame by frame.
For V-Ray, animated textures are not yet supported.
HTH!

Yeah I'm having problems as well, what's happening is I head over to model side of TS 7.51 make a cube or a plane or something, open up material editer, go to the color tab, right click it and choose texture map, click the browse button, locate my .avi file (which says file format not supported to begin with), open it, paint my object, and all I see is black (rendering with LightWorks).
Doesn't even start to render with VirtuaLight.
Know it doesn't work with Vray.
It does let me do the animation if I go to every frame and load the next picture in the sequence, but once the number of frames gets to large, it's just not worth the time.
It might be my PC, I've got a phyx card, and an ATI Radeon 3850 HD video card, Vista Ultimate 32 bit, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ 3.20 GHz, and 3070 MB of RAM.
I wonder what difference it would make if I used Vista Ultimate 64 bit. |
