Trueparticles, Pyrocluster,Primal particles..

I´ve got these and thought I´d devote a few hours of time looking

at them ....what they can do .... and they are awsome !

I never understand those people who threaten to jump ship

and never look back etc. because theres lots of goodies in Truespace

that can be used with every other package even if you use another software.

In case of some of these plugins or the built in Trueparticles this means that

you can render out in any software or like build waterfalls that you can use in Vue d´esprit.

Heres some of what i came up with but I´m still tuning and blowing off the dust...;)

To be honest I am more interested in TS as an animation tool as opposed to realtime web so I hear what you are saying.

Realtime web and Virtual Earth are both exciting prospects to be sure but, hey.... I wanna be like Walt.... :D

The workspace side is moving in the right direction between MS, Caligari and the "wonderful" few. To make it move faster I am resigned to having to get my coding up to snuff as I think the plugins of the past will have to be recreated by those interested in those functions. It will only add to the fun, I have not compiled a line of code in nearly 20 years so I hope Aspirin can still cure the pain of fracturing rust.....

Keep posting your stuff....it looks good.

Very nice render you've created there Peter. As someone just getting to grips with tS's particle system for use in my Future Fighter project, I shall be keeping a very close eye on this thread. Thanks for sharing.

I think the reason people leave depends on a couple of things:

their business and finances depend on certain tools and support

or they need the creative juices to be sparked

Pictures like this help to spark the creative juices. Nice job Peter.

Looks great. Are the particles metaballs? Metaballs are seldom used.

Post an animation.

Tell us which particle system you use on each post here.

Heres a short update......

I messed around with blenders fluid sim and found out that you can

just import your objects into blender with obj. run the simulation (bake it)

and export as an animation to a whole folder every frame will be a seperat obj.!

Its very eas to open and render that in any renderengine.... so if you dont

want to animate this is another option but the fluid sim plugin is more the worth it and supports animations........

Heres a file I exported as an obj and rendered in Kerkythea....;)

Interesting. But I still cant make a simple metaball look smooth. :)

This isnt a simple metaball !

This is the fluid simulation from Blender.....

Frootee has made a fantastic importer for Truespace which is esential if

you want to animate in Truesapce but if stills are enough you can

export and import using the obj format to. Its good for trying the

fluid simulation out in Blender. you just have to export using animate via Blender and you get a whloe series of obj in a folder .... one obj per frame...

You can also do some smoothing inside the fluid panel of Blender....;)

HTH !
